Come to a Meeting

If you are interested in volunteer opportunities please join us at our monthly meetings at 6:30 on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, at Brehon Pub, 731 N. Wells Street. This is the best place to find out about our latest events and volunteer opportunities.

WAYS TO VOLUNTEER

Architecture for Humanity Chicago has frequent volunteer opportunities for designers who give a damn. Come to one of our charrettes, participate in a service day, be a part of a project team, or join a committee. Current opportunities will be posted to the left. Please contact us if you have any questions about how you can help.

Additionally we would suggest firms utilize The 1%, a program from Public Architecture, which connects nonprofits with architecture and design firms who are willing to pledge 1% of their billable time to pro bono service. For more information please visit either the 1% website or the Public Architecture website for more information. www.theonepercent.org

If you, your company, or your organization knows of someone that could benefit from services provided by AFH Chicago, please contact the networking committee. Include information about the client’s perceived need and any available contact information.

Note to All Volunteers: We at Architecture for Humanity Chicago greatly appreciate the tremendous enthusiasm that the community has shown for our efforts. We do ask, however, that you only sign up for projects and tasks that you truly have the time/resources to complete. Our services can only benefit the community if we live up to our promises. If you have signed up for a project or task that you will be unable to complete in a reasonable amount of time, please contact one of the board members.
